The Council of the Government approved the termination, by mutual agreement, of the funding agreement between the Madeira Football Association and the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology.
The termination of the funding agreement linking the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology to the Madeira Football Association has been approved. The decision is contained in Regional Government Council Resolution No. 752/2026, which approves the revocation of the agreement by mutual interest of the parties.
The initial agreement had been approved by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 462/2026, dated May 15. According to the new resolution, the circumstances that led to its signing have changed, making its termination by agreement appropriate.
The resolution also determines the release of the budgetary allocations and charges associated with the now-revoked agreement, taking effect on the date of its approval.
Addendums to contracts with 28 private education establishments have been approved, representing a total increase of over 661,000 euros for the 2025/2026 school year.
The two important activities in the Madeira school calendar for the next academic year have already been scheduled, according to an order published in the Official Journal.
The service commission for the coordinator of administrative services at Dr. Ângelo Augusto da Silva Basic and Secondary School has been renewed for another school year.
