Regional Government opens recruitment process for teaching staff for the 2026/2027 school year
The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology has announced the opening of recruitment processes for the selection of teachers for the upcoming school year.
The Regional Directorate for School Administration has published Notice no. 169/2026, formalizing the opening of recruitment processes for the selection of teaching staff for preschool, primary, and secondary education, as well as special education in the Autonomous Region of Madeira for the 2026/2027 school year.
The procedure covers several types of recruitment, including:
- Internal and external recruitment;
- Assignment to pedagogical zone staff;
- Internal mobility;
- Initial hiring with a recruitment reserve.
Interested parties must pay attention to the application deadlines, with mandatory registration required within five business days after the publication of the notice. Applications must be submitted through the electronic platform agir.madeira.gov.pt. The process is governed by the Teaching Career Statute of the RAM and the legal framework for teaching staff recruitment, with technical support available through the Telephone Service Center (291 145 524).
The available vacancies are detailed in the maps attached to the official notice, covering all levels of education and recruitment groups. The ratification of the final lists will be the responsibility of the Regional Directorate for School Administration.
