The redistribution of budgetary expenses for the acquisition of an autonomous underwater vehicle for scientific research in the Madeira EEZ has been authorized.
Through Ordinance no. 182/2026, the Regional Government authorized the redistribution of budgetary expenses related to the program contract signed between the Autonomous Region of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, and ARDITI - Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation - Association.
The contract is intended to co-finance the expenses for the acquisition of an unmanned autonomous underwater vehicle capable of reaching 1000 meters, equipped with scientific sensors, for the systematic collection of data in the Madeira Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), with a maximum value of 2,550,000.00 €.
