Regional Government allocates 280 thousand euros to Rally Madeira Legend 2026
The Regional Government Council authorized a program-contract to financially support the organization of the 6th edition of the historic motorsport event.
The Regional Government of Madeira approved financial support of 280 thousand euros for the 6th edition of the 'Rally Madeira Legend 2026'. The measure was formalized through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 865/2026, which authorizes the signing of a program-contract between the Autonomous Region of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for the Economy, and Club Sports da Madeira.
The event, dedicated to historic and classic competition vehicles, is scheduled for October 22-24, 2026. According to the resolution, the support is justified by the national and international projection the event brings to the Region, its relevance to the local economy – particularly in the hospitality, restaurant, and transport sectors – and the additional costs inherent in organizing such an event in an island region.
The program-contract, whose draft has been approved, takes effect from the date of its signing until January 31, 2027. The expenditure for 2026 is already budgeted, with the necessary funds for 2027 to be included in the proposed Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira for that year.
