The Regional Government has approved a new exceptional support framework to compensate for rising fuel prices, aimed at sectors such as public transport, firefighters, charities, and bakery companies on Porto Santo.
Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 897/2026, a new regime of exceptional and temporary supports was approved to compensate for the increase in fuel prices, taking as a reference the average prices for the week of March 5 to 13, 2026. The package, which revokes the previous one (Resolution No. 200/2026), covers the period from July to December 2026.

The operationalisation of the supports will be defined in joint ordinances by the responsible Government members. The Institute for Business Development (IDE) will be in charge of the measure related to Porto Santo.
The Regional Secretariat for Economy and Finance has approved the new maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel, effective September 21.
Marina da Baía do Funchal, S.A. has applied to APRAM for a 10-year private use license for Hangar C4, with a monthly fee of 300 euros plus VAT.
