The Regional Secretariat for Economy and the Regional Secretariat for Finance have approved new maximum retail prices for gasoline and diesel, which come into effect at the end of the month.
The Regional Government of Madeira has established, through Joint Order No. 78/2026, the new maximum prices at which fuels can be sold to the public in the archipelago. The measure comes into effect at 00:00 on August 31, 2026.

This joint order was signed by the Regional Secretaries for Economy, Micaela Cristina Fonseca de Freitas (acting), and for Finance, Duarte Nuno Nunes de Freitas, on August 28. The setting of these values is carried out under the terms of Ordinance No. 25/2022, of January 26, which establishes the regime of maximum retail prices for fuels in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Ordinance No. 421/2026 establishes the operating rules for the SIDRAM network, defines services available to producers, and sets the processing fees to be charged.
