The Regional Government of Madeira has established a financial support scheme to mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs on road passenger transport and taxis.
Through Ordinance no. 290/2026, the Regional Government of Madeira has approved an extraordinary and exceptional support regulation for the public passenger transport sector, with a total budget of 467,000.00 euros. The measure aims to compensate for the increased fuel costs recorded between April 6 and June 30, 2026.
Applications must be submitted between July 1 and September 15, 2026, through the Simplifica platform, under the 'Fuel Support' flow. The Institute for Mobility and Transport, IP-RAM (IMT, IP-RAM) is the entity responsible for the management, verification, and processing of payments.
