Regional Government supports Cider Festival 2026 with 67,100 euros
The Regional Government has authorized a program contract with APSRAM for the 2026 edition of the Cider Festival in Funchal.
The Regional Government Council, through Resolution no. 539/2026, has authorized the signing of a program contract with the Association of Cider Producers of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (APSRAM). The financial support, which will not exceed 67,100.00 euros, is intended to cover the organization of the Cider Fest 2026, which will take place at the Central Placa of Avenida Arriaga, in Funchal, between June 23 and 28.
This event aims to promote Madeira Cider - PGI, a product that obtained Protected Geographical Indication recognition in 2023. APSRAM, which currently has 107 cider producers, will be responsible for all logistics, including:
- Communication and promotion of the event.
- Adaptation and decoration of the venue.
- Cultural and musical entertainment.
- Welcoming producers and participants.
- Thematic lectures and tasting sessions.
The support is part of the XVI Regional Government Program, which aims to value regional agri-food products and strengthen the competitiveness of the Madeiran agricultural sector.
