Ordinance No. 384/2026 authorises the budget allocation for a three-year programme contract with the cultural association, totalling 3.3 million euros.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariats of Education, Science and Technology and Finance, has authorised the expenditure for a multi-annual programme contract with a cultural entity in the Region. The legal instrument defines the financial phasing for the next three years.
The financial support was approved by Ordinance No. 384/2026 of 3 August and is intended for the conclusion of a programme contract with the Notas e Sinfonias Atlânticas Association.
The total amount for the three-year period 2026-2028 amounts to 3,300,000 euros, distributed as follows:
The ordinance also establishes that the amount fixed for each financial year may be increased by the balance ascertained in the previous year. The expenditure for the 2026 financial year will be borne by the Budget of the Regional Secretariat of Education, Science and Technology, under commitment number CY42610115.
This type of programme contract aims to ensure stable funding for public interest activities carried out by private non-profit entities, in this case in the field of culture.
Three Madeiran associations will receive financial contributions for projects in agroforestry culture, artistic residencies, and international sports tourism events.
The Regional Culture Directorate will move to a ground-floor space on Rua das Pretas in Funchal to solve overcrowding issues.
The Regional Government has authorized funding for the conservation and restoration of tile heritage in six religious monuments in Funchal and Machico.
