The budget for the +ENERGY renewable energy production incentive system has been increased by 2 million euros, totalling 7.5 million, to support pending applications.
The Regional Government has significantly increased the amount available to support the installation of renewable energy systems in Madeira. Through Ordinance No. 361/2026, issued by the Regional Secretaries of Finance and Equipment and Infrastructure, the first amendment to Ordinance No. 4/2025, which regulates the +ENERGY incentive system, was made.
The main change is the increase in the programme's budget allocation. The amount, which was €5,500,000.00, is now €7,500,000.00 (seven million five hundred thousand euros). This boost of 2 million euros was made possible by reprogramming Portugal's Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
The financial reinforcement is specifically intended to support applications submitted under Notice No. 02/C21-i11.01-RAM/2024 that could not be analysed previously due to insufficient budget allocation, provided they meet the eligibility conditions.
The +ENERGY system aims to strengthen energy production from renewable sources and endogenous resources, supporting the acquisition and installation of electricity production and storage systems for self-consumption, as well as equipment for producing hot water and heat using renewable energy. The ordinance comes into force the day after its publication and has retroactive effect to the date of publication of the aforementioned notice.
Ordinance No. 354/2026 authorizes the distribution of 5.5 million euros for the +ENERGIA incentive system, aimed at renewable energy production and storage in the Region.
The distribution of budgetary charges totaling 2.68 million euros for the provision of ship and port facility waste management services for APRAM has been authorized.
The development of the Special Program for the Site of Community Importance (SCI) PTMMD0001 - Cetaceans of Madeira has been determined, aiming at the conservation of marine biodiversity.
