The Regional Directorate of Sport has signed programme-contracts with ten sports associations in the region, awarding financial contributions for the 2025/2026 season.
The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, through the Regional Directorate of Sport (DRD), has approved ten sports development programme-contracts (CPDD) with clubs in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. These agreements, published in the Official Journal, aim to financially support participation in regional and national competitions, the organisation of events, and the maintenance of sports facilities during the 2025/2026 sports season.
The grants are awarded under the Regional Sports Support Plan (PRAD) and are part of the Regional Government's sports policy, which aims to promote sports practice, occupy the population's free time, and encourage healthy habits. Each contract establishes obligations for both parties, including accountability from the clubs and monitoring of execution by the DRD.
Here is the detailed list of the ten contracts signed:
The contracts take effect from the date of their signing, which occurred in May 2026, until 31 December 2026. The total amount for these ten grants exceeds €334,000, coming from the budget of the Regional Directorate of Sport.
