Eight Management Competitions Opened at the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation

The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, IP-RAM (IFCN), has published eight notices opening competitive procedures to fill intermediate management posts, on commission of service for a period of three years. The notices were published in the 2nd Supplement of the Official Journal and have an application deadline of 8 working days from their publication in the 2nd Series of the Official Journal.

Posts open for competition

• Notice No. 565/2026: Director of Human Resources and Training Services, first-degree intermediate management post. Requires six years of professional experience.
• Notice No. 566/2026: Head of the Protected Areas Management Division, second-degree intermediate management post. Requires four years of professional experience.
• Notice No. 567/2026: Head of the Nature Activities Management Division, second-degree intermediate management post. Requires four years of professional experience.

The three procedures were authorised by order of the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture, dated 20 October 2026, and the notices were signed by the President of the IFCN Management Board, Manuel António Marques Madama de Sousa Filipe, on 29 October 2026.

Common requirements

• Public officials contracted or appointed on a permanent basis may apply, with a degree, technical competence and aptitude for management, coordination and control functions.
• The selection methods are curriculum evaluation and a public interview.
• The place of work is the IFCN, in Funchal.
• Applications must be submitted by request on A4 paper, addressed to the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture, and delivered to the IFCN at Rua Alferes Veiga Pestana, 15, Quinta Vila Passos, 9054-505 Funchal, or sent by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt, otherwise they will not be admitted.
• Remuneration is that set out in Decree-Law No. 383-A/87, of 23 December, plus representation expenses and other applicable benefits.
