Regional Government renews and appoints mid-level managers in two departments

The Official Gazette of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM), Series II, No. 197, of 30 October 2026, publishes two acts appointing first-degree mid-level managers in the regional administration, one in the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology and the other in the Regional Secretariat for the Economy.

Renewal at the Regional Directorate of School Administration

• Notice No. 564/2026, from the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, authorises the renewal of the service commission in the post of First-Degree Mid-Level Director of Services for Non-Teaching Human Resources, at the Regional Directorate of School Administration.
• The renewal covers Elizabeth Vieira Pereira Gonçalves, Inspector on the staff map of the Regional Education Inspectorate, with effect from 17 December 2026.
• The order of the Regional Secretary for Education, Science and Technology is dated 26 October 2026 and was published by the regional director, António José de Carvalho Lucas.

Appointment at the Regional Authority for Economic Activities

• Order No. 435/2026, from the Regional Secretariat for the Economy, appoints Maria do Céu de Freitas Gonçalves da Costa Mendes Vieira Fernandes as Director of Human Resources and Management Support Services at the Regional Authority for Economic Activities.
• The appointment is made under a service commission for three years and takes effect on the date of signature.
• The appointee holds a law degree and is a senior technical specialist in cross-cutting coordination of public administration, from the Centralised Human Resources Management System of the Regional Secretariat for Finance.
• According to the order, the jury of the competitive procedure, opened by Notice No. 166/2026 (JORAM, Series II, No. 77, Supplement, of 30 April), proposed the appointment as she meets the legal requirements, has experience in management posts, and has the relevant technical competence and training.
• The expenditure is budgeted under Secretariat 45, as indicated in the order.

Both acts concern first-degree mid-level management posts in the regional administration, responsible for human resources management in their respective services.
