The Government Council authorized the first amendment to the program-contract with IHM, adjusting the distribution of a 2.4 million euro contribution to cover management costs of its social housing stock until the end of 2026.
The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized an amendment to the program-contract with the public company responsible for social housing, IHM - Investimentos Habitacionais da Madeira, EPERAM. The Resolution of the Regional Government Council No. 903/2026 aims to adjust the financial programming of a total contribution of 2.4 million euros, intended to cover the costs associated with the management of its housing stock.
The measure follows delays in the execution of activities planned for 2024, which led to the postponement of some payments. Instead of changing the total amount, the Government decided to reprogram the funds not used in 2024 for the following years, maintaining the overall limit of €2,400,000.00.
The new annual distribution of the contribution, under the PIDDAR 51181 project - Investments and Activities of a Social Housing Nature, is now defined as follows:
The objective is to ensure that IHM, EPERAM has the necessary resources to pay taxes, essential services, and condominium costs, guaranteeing the health and safety of social housing. The amendment to the contract takes effect from the date of its signing and is valid until December 31, 2026.
