Four officials in the regional public administration will remain in their posts after the regional secretaries and regional directors authorised the renewal of their service commissions, according to notices published in the Official Gazette of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM) on 4 November 2026. Two of the cases concern the Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology and two the Regional Secretariat for Finance. Both notices were signed by the Regional Director of Education, João Manuel Ribeiro da Costa e Silva, on 30 October 2026, following a dispatch from the Regional Secretary for Education, Science and Technology dated 23 October 2026.
The two Regional Secretariat for Finance notices result from a dispatch of the regional secretary dated 4 November 2026, and were signed by the Chief of Staff, Andreia Luísa Martins Gonçalves Jardim.
The texts do not indicate how long the renewals now authorised will last.
