An authorization has been published allowing a worker at the Presidency of the Regional Government to drive official vehicles for work purposes. The measure aims to rationalize resources and reduce public expenses.
According to Joint Order No. 83/2026, signed by the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, and the Regional Secretary of Finance, Duarte Freitas, the permission was granted based on Decree-Law No. 490/99, of November 17.

The authorization applies exclusively to travel determined by public service reasons, with prior knowledge of the hierarchical superior. The permission expires when the worker no longer performs the functions held at the date of authorization and takes effect from its publication in the Official Journal.
