The Regional Government has renewed for another six months the lease contract for sections I and J of the 'Duas Palmeiras' building in Machico, which house public services.
Public services located in a building in the center of Machico will remain at the site at least until the end of March 2027. The Government Council approved the renewal of the respective lease contract.
Regional Government Council Resolution No. 850/2026 authorizes the renewal, for a period of six months, of the lease contract covering sections "I" and "J", located on the ground floor of the "Duas Palmeiras" Building, at Rua do Ribeirinho, parish and municipality of Machico. The original contract was signed on March 27, 1996 and was later amended by Resolution No. 666/2019.
The renewal, starting on October 1, 2026 and ending on March 31, 2027, is justified by the need to continue accommodating the public service installed there. The expense will be borne by the Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The renewal of the service commission for Maria Teresa Brazão as Director of the Environmental Inspection and Legal Action Unit has been authorized.
Dispatch No. 357/2026 appoints Services Director Virgínia Pestana do Nascimento and, in her absence, Duarte Gonçalo Costa, to substitute the Regional Director of Spatial Planning.
The Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture has appointed three senior technicians to head newly created divisions within his office, on a one-year service commission basis.
