Government supports three sports associations with over 60 thousand euros
The Regional Government approved three development program contracts to support participation in competitions and the organization of activities.
The Government Council approved three resolutions authorizing the signing of sports development program contracts (CPDD) with regional associations, under the Regional Sports Support Plan for the 2025/2026 season. The support totals over 60 thousand euros.
The beneficiaries and their respective amounts are as follows:
- A.K.R.A.M. - Karate Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 788/2026: €9,553.00 to cover travel expenses (travel and per diems) for sports agents participating in national sports competitions. The amount is distributed between 'National Competition Travel - Clubs' (€8,024.00) and 'Regional Team Travel' (€1,529.00).
- One Association - Where Expression is Born via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 786/2026: €432.08 for participation in regional championships or events.
- A.K.R.A.M. - Karate Association of the Autonomous Region of Madeira via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 787/2026: €50,436.12 for the dissemination, promotion, and organization of sports activities, focusing on regional competitions, initiatives with school sports, support for high-potential athletes, and human resources training. The amount is distributed among 'Initiatives promoted with schools/school sports' (€2,123.47), 'Activity Support' (€39,238.23), 'High-Potential Athlete' (€5,000.00), and 'Human Resources Training' (€4,074.42).
The program contracts take effect from the date of signing and end on December 31, 2026.
