Government approves 855 thousand euros for landscape rehabilitation in Paúl do Mar
The Government Council authorized a second amendment to the program-contract with the Calheta Municipality, increasing financial support for the landscape rehabilitation of houses in Paúl do Mar.
The Regional Government approved a substantial financial reinforcement for a landscape rehabilitation project in the parish of Paúl do Mar, in the municipality of Calheta. The measure aims to improve the urban environment and the image of the locality.
Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 771/2026, the second amendment to the program-contract signed between the Autonomous Region of Madeira and the Calheta Municipality is authorized. The objective is the reprogramming of the "Landscape Rehabilitation of Houses in Paúl do Mar" project and the approval of the corresponding maximum financial support.
The maximum amount of the regional contribution was set at 854,959.62 euros. This amount is intended to co-finance the work, which will be executed in 2026 and 2027. The resolution states that the total project value was updated to €1,012,902.50, with the award contract being signed for the amount of €899,957.50 (excluding VAT).
The regional financial support is conditional upon compliance with the program-contract, which will take effect until December 31, 2027. The expenses are budgeted under Secretariat 47, project 53267.
