Government approves new flexible structure for Tourism, Environment and Culture Office

The Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture, António Eduardo de Freitas Jesus, approved the new flexible structure for the services of his office (GSRTAC). The measure, formalized through Order No. 325/2026, implements the internal organization foreseen in Ordinance No. 308/2026, which established a maximum of five flexible units.

The new structure is composed of the following divisions, each headed by a division head (mid-level management position of 2nd degree):

• Investment Budget and Heritage Management Division (DGOIP) – Responsible for managing the GSRTAC's investment budget and collaborating in the management of the assets of the services under the direct administration of the regional secretariat.
• Operating Budget and Salaries Management Division (DGOFV) – Tasked with executing the operating budget and processing salaries and other allowances.
• Public Procurement Division (DCP) – Unit responsible for providing centralized services in the area of public procurement.
• Management Unit Support Division (DAUG) – Its assignments are to support the SRTAC Management Unit in budgetary, financial, and control tasks.
• Management, Procurement and Registry Support Division (DAGAE) – Ensures the areas of archive, general registry, procurement of goods and services, and management of the vehicle fleet.

The order also provides for the retention of the incumbent of the Public Procurement Division management position in the new organic unit and keeps the Intermediate Archive service in operation. With this reorganization, Order No. 136/2020 and parts of Order No. 530/2021 are revoked. The new structure came into force the day after its publication, on August 4, 2026.
