Errors Corrected in Ordinances on Christmas Lights in Funchal
Two rectification statements correct material errors in ordinances approving funds for the decorative Christmas lighting competitions.
Two rectification statements have been published to correct material errors in ordinances related to the competitions for Christmas and New Year's lights in Funchal. The corrections aim to ensure the legal accuracy of the documents.
The published rectifications are:
- Rectification Statement No. 24/2026: Corrects Ordinance No. 373/2026, of July 29, which amends Ordinance No. 149/2026. The original text incorrectly referred to the 'fireworks display' for Lot 1 - Central Zone of Funchal, valued at €401,247.00. The rectification establishes that the funds are actually intended for the 'Public Tender for the Design of Decorative Lighting'.
- Rectification Statement No. 25/2026: Corrects Ordinance No. 372/2026, of July 29, which amends Ordinance No. 154/2026. The same error was detected in the text relating to Lot 6 - Praça do Povo and Praça Colombo, valued at €106,500.00, where 'fireworks' was also mentioned instead of 'decorative lighting'.
Both rectifications take effect from the date the ordinances they correct entered into force.
