Tiago Samuel Sousa Ferreira, who begins duties as an operational assistant in August, received a mobile phone for official use due to the nature of his surveillance and security tasks.
The President of the Regional Government has assigned a mobile phone for official use to a new employee of the Presidency of the Regional Government. The measure is provided for in Dispatch No. 313/2026, signed by Miguel Albuquerque.
The equipment was granted to Tiago Samuel Sousa Ferreira, Operational Assistant, who will begin duties on August 1, 2026, according to the contract published in Notice No. 329/2026.
The dispatch justifies the assignment based on the nature of the duties the worker will perform: "surveillance, security, and maintenance of the facilities, which by their nature require permanent availability and the need to be always contactable, including outside normal working hours." It is considered that these duties constitute "an objective reason of public interest" for granting the means.
The assignment is framed within the limits provided for in subparagraph C of paragraph 7 of Dispatch No. 253/2015, of May 20, from the Regional Secretariat for Finance and Public Administration, which regulates the granting of mobile phones for official use in exceptional cases.
The dispatch takes effect from August 1, 2026, coinciding with the start of the worker's duties.
