Technical Assistant Sandra Maria Teixeira de Vargem, from the Regional Directorate of Agriculture, who handles funds at CAPA, has been granted the allowance for handling cash.
Through Joint Order No. 65/2026, the allowance for handling cash has been granted to worker Sandra Maria Teixeira de Vargem, a Technical Assistant integrated into the Centralized Human Resources Management System of the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries, assigned to the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Rural Development (DRA).
The allowance, with a monthly value of €86.29, compensates for the risks inherent in handling or safeguarding cash, funds, securities, or documents. The worker performs duties at the Funchal Agricultural Products Supply Center (CAPA), specifically in receiving payments for the refrigeration service and issuing certification stamps for sugarcane honey, honey cakes, and Madeira honey cake, being responsible for annual amounts exceeding €50,000.
During her absences and impediments, she will be replaced by Technical Coordinator Marília Carla Nóbrega Gouveia, who will also receive the allowance during the substitution period. The order revokes the previous Joint Order No. 85/2016, which granted the allowance to two other workers who no longer perform these functions.
The Madeira Social Security Institute has authorized the signing of permanent employment contracts with seven candidates for the category of Operational Assistant - Driver.
Three ordinances introduce changes to support schemes for the marketing of local products, sugarcane honey production, and investments by young farmers.
The Cooperativa de Criadores de Gado das Serras da Freguesia da Calheta, Arco da Calheta, Canhas, Ponta do Sol e Canhas, C.R.Lda. will receive financial support for its activities in 2026.
