Regional Government modifies structure of the Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth Office

Ordinance no. 282/2026 was published in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (JORAM), introducing significant changes to the internal organization of the Office of the Regional Secretary for Inclusion, Labour and Youth (GSRITJ). This measure follows Regional Regulatory Decree no. 26/2024/M, which defined the organization of this Secretariat.

The main changes, detailed in the document, focus on the following points:

• Strengthening Flexible Organic Units: Article 7 of Ordinance no. 764/2024 was amended to set the maximum number of flexible organic units of the GSRITJ at 4, allowing for greater flexibility in internal management.
• Competencies of the Management Unit (UGSRITJ): Article 3 was updated to clarify the competencies of the Management Unit of the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth (UGSRITJ), particularly regarding the monitoring of public policies and investments.
• Focal Point and Accounting: The UGSRITJ will now ensure the monitoring of public investments in coordination with the Public Finance Reform Unit, guaranteeing, under Regional Regulatory Decree no. 5/2025/M, the segregation of duties between accounting control and execution.

This amendment enters into force the day after its publication, on June 27, 2026.
