Regional Government publicly commends Civil Protection technician
The Regional Government of Madeira has publicly commended Américo Jorge Fernandes Aguiar for his 43 years of dedicated service to Civil Protection.
The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection, through Order no. 267/2026, has granted a public commendation to Américo Jorge Fernandes Aguiar, Technical Assistant at the Regional Civil Protection Service, IP-RAM, on the occasion of his retirement.
The recognition highlights his 43-year professional career, during which the technician served as an Emergency Telecommunications Operator. The order underscores the worker's decisive contribution to the effectiveness of operational response and the safeguarding of people and property in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The official document also highlights the qualities demonstrated throughout his career, namely:
- High sense of responsibility and technical competence;
- Spirit of mission and institutional loyalty;
- Determining role in the consolidation of emergency telecommunications within the regional civil protection system.
This commendation, signed by the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Micaela Cristina Fonseca de Freitas, serves as an expression of institutional gratitude for the exemplary service provided to the public cause.
