IFCN opens recruitment for three management posts in Funchal

The Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, IP-RAM (IFCN), has opened recruitment for three middle-management posts in Funchal. The procedures were authorised by an order issued by the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture on 1 September 2026, and the notices were published in the JORAM on 28 September.

• Director of Planning and Coordination Services - Notice No. 495/2026. A first-level middle-management post, provided for in point (a) of paragraph 1 of Article 3 and paragraph 2 of Article 2 of Ordinance No. 6/2026 of 8 January. The duties are set out in Article 10 of the same ordinance.
• Director of Nature Conservation Services - Notice No. 496/2026. A first-level middle-management post, provided for in point (e) of paragraph 1 of Article 3 and paragraph 2 of Article 2 of Ordinance No. 6/2026 of 8 January. The duties are set out in Article 22 of the same ordinance.
• Director of the Administrative Management and Advisory Office - Notice No. 497/2026. A second-level middle-management post, provided for in point (a) of paragraph 3 of Article 3 and paragraph 3 of Article 2 of Ordinance No. 6/2026 of 8 January. The duties are set out in Article 8 of the same ordinance.

All three appointments will last three years. Applicants for the two director of services posts must be public employees on permanent contracts, hold a university degree and have at least six years of professional experience in roles requiring that qualification. For the director of the office post, the experience requirement is four years, while the other requirements set out in the notice remain the same.

Selection will be based on an assessment of qualifications and a public interview. Applicants must submit an application addressed to the Regional Secretary, together with the documents required in each notice. The deadline is 10 working days from publication in the 2nd Series of the Official Journal. Applications must be delivered to IFCN at Rua Alferes Veiga Pestana 15, Quinta Vila Passos, 9054-505 Funchal, or sent by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt within the deadline.

Remuneration will be as provided for in Decree-Law No. 383-A/87 of 23 December, plus the representation expenses corresponding to the post and any other benefits applicable to public administration employees.
