Government authorizes nine Institute for Qualification employees to drive official vehicles
The Regional Government of Madeira has granted generic permission for nine IQ, IP-RAM employees to drive official vehicles, aiming to rationalize resources.
Through Joint Order No. 48/2026, the Regional Secretariats of Education, Science and Technology and of Finance have authorized the driving of official vehicles assigned to the Institute for Qualification, IP-RAM (IQ, IP-RAM) by managers and employees. This measure aims to address the shortage of operational assistants with driver duties and ensure efficiency in service travel.
The authorization covers the following employees, who hold a category B driver's license:
- Anacleto Sá Camacho (Operational Assistant)
- Emanuel José Rodrigues de Castro (Operational Assistant)
- José Carlos Barbosa Lopes (Technical Assistant)
- João Carlos Rodrigues de Freitas (Operational Assistant)
- Martinho Dinarte Mendes Silva (Operational Assistant)
- Paulo Jorge Duarte Pedro (Service Director)
- Rafael Bento de Carvalho (Service Director)
- Sofia Jesus Fernandes Silva (Senior Technician)
- Tânia Maria Velosa Camacho Freitas (Senior Technician)
The order, which revokes the previous Order No. 39/2024, takes effect from June 10, 2026, and applies exclusively to travel determined by public service reasons.
