Ana Odilia Franco de Gouveia Figueiredo has been appointed as the Madeira Government representative to the UNESCO National Commission Advisory Council.
The Regional Government Council, meeting in plenary on March 19, 2026, appointed Ana Odilia Franco de Gouveia Figueiredo, current Head of Cabinet for the Regional Secretary of Education, Science and Technology, to represent the Government of the Autonomous Region of Madeira on the Advisory Council of the UNESCO National Commission.
The appointment, formalized through Regional Government Council Resolution no. 148/2026, complies with the provisions of article 6, paragraph 1, point e) of Regulatory Decree no. 16/2012, of January 30.
