Eleven workers from the public company EEM - Biotecnologia, S.A., which is in the process of being dissolved, will be temporarily transferred to strengthen public services in Porto Santo.
A joint order from the regional secretariats of Finance and Equipment and Infrastructure authorized the signing of worker transfer agreements. The measure aims to utilize human resources that are currently without work activity due to the situation of the company EEM - Biotecnologia, S.A., and, simultaneously, to address significant shortages in the regional public administration in Porto Santo.
The workers will be transferred to perform duties at the Porto Santo Public Administration Office, integrating services such as the Veterinary Care Center, the public works and maintenance service, the cleaning service, the Youth Center, and the facility management and maintenance service.
The agreements will have a maximum duration of 11 months, may be extended under legal terms, and will expire at the moment of the dissolution of the original company. The measure takes immediate effect.
The workers covered by the transfer agreement, as identified in the annex to Joint Order No. 68/2026, are:
