New Collective Agreements Published for Insurance, Publishing, and Maritime Transport
JORAM has published the full texts of three collective agreements establishing new wages and working conditions for thousands of workers in Madeira.
Three recently agreed collective labor agreements have been transcribed in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, establishing new salary and working conditions for 2026. The agreements are as follows:
Collective agreement between Ageas Portugal - Companhia de Seguros de Vida, SA and others and the National Union of Insurance Professionals and Related Workers - SINAPSA and another - Salary changes and others. This agreement covers six companies in the Ageas group (Ageas Portugal - Companhia de Seguros de Vida, SA; Ageas Portugal - Companhia de Seguros, SA; Ageas Portugal Services, ACE; Ocidental - Companhia Portuguesa de Seguros de Vida, SA; Médis - Companhia Portuguesa de Seguros de Saúde, SA; Ageas Sociedade Gestora de Fundos de Pensões, SA) and approximately 1456 workers. It includes a new salary table with 17 levels (from the lowest €1,103.24 to the highest €3,603.72), a meal allowance of €13.00, increased contributions for school support, and an interpretative declaration on the composition of remuneration.
Collective contract between the Portuguese Association of Publishers and Booksellers and the Union of Workers in the Service Sector - SITESE - Salary changes and others/consolidated text. This vertical contract applies to bookselling and publishing activities, covering approximately 1080 employers and 4100 workers. The consolidated text establishes new salary tables by category (e.g., Bookseller level 1: €930.00; Store Manager: €1,100.00; Director: €1,205.00), a meal allowance of €6.00 (€8.90 on Sundays), and regulates various working conditions, including telework, training, and union rights. The tables are valid for 2026.
Collective contract between APROSE - National Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers and the Union of Workers in the Insurance Activity (STAS) and another - Salary changes and others. This revision covers insurance distribution activities and is estimated to cover 2130 employers and 7608 workers. It establishes for 2026 a salary table with seven bands (from €955.00 to €2,550.00) and respective percentage increases, a meal allowance of €10.00, and updates the values for travel expenses.
