IDR Opens Competition for Two Senior Technicians in Management or Economics

The Institute for Regional Development, IP-RAM, has launched a competitive procedure to hire two senior technicians with a degree in Management or Economics.

The Institute for Regional Development, IP-RAM (IDR), an agency of the Regional Secretariat for Finance, has opened a public competition to fill two positions in the career and category of senior technician.

Notice No. 375/2026 establishes that candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Management or Economics. Professional experience in the area is considered a preferential condition. The positions are intended for the IDR's Coordination, Evaluation and Planning Unit (UCAP), with functions related to strategic planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of interventions co-financed by European structural funds in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

Application and Selection Process

The deadline for submitting applications is 10 working days, counted from the working day following the publication of the notice in JORAM. Applications must be formalised using a specific form, available on the IDR website and on the RAM Public Employment Exchange, and delivered in person or by registered mail to the institute's headquarters at Travessa do Cabido, No. 16, in Funchal.

The selection methods vary depending on the candidate's profile:

  • For candidates without a permanent link or not currently performing the functions in competition: Knowledge Test (55% of the final score) and Professional Selection Interview (45%).
  • For candidates already holding the career and performing identical functions: Curriculum Assessment (55%) and Professional Selection Interview (45%).

The Knowledge Test, lasting 120 minutes, will cover regional and national legislation relating to government organisation, the functioning of the IDR and the governance of European funds for the 2021-2027 period.

Competition Jury

The jury for the procedure is chaired by Dr. Patrícia Correia Gordon Chaves, Director of UCAP, and includes effective and substitute members appointed from the IDR's structure.

The competition was authorised by order of the Regional Secretary for Finance on 17 July 2026.
