Social Security authorized to spend 226 thousand euros on Community Center until 2029
The Madeira Social Security Institute is authorized to assume costs up to 226,661.40 euros with the Community Center of the Luís de Camões Center Association, under an addendum to an existing agreement.
The Regional Government authorized the Madeira Social Security Institute, IP-RAM (ISSM), to assume a multi-year financial commitment totaling 226,661.40 euros with the Luís de Camões Center Association. The authorization, published through Ordinance No. 425/2026, aims to sign an addendum to the Atypical Agreement No. 1/2020, which funds the Community Center social service.
The addendum introduces, from September 1, 2026, the application of the standard financing model (Typical Agreement) to this service. The original agreement, authorized in 2020, has been subject to several value updates over the years.
Financial Breakdown and Context
The budgetary charges are distributed over the next fiscal years as follows:
- Fiscal Year 2026: 25,184.60 €
- Fiscal Year 2027: 75,553.80 €
- Fiscal Year 2028: 75,553.80 €
- Fiscal Year 2029: 50,369.20 €
With the addendum, the monthly contribution allocated to the Community Center will be updated from 5,977.26 € to 6,296.15 € from September 1, 2026. The Ordinance specifies that this amount may be updated again in the future by a Resolution of the Government Council.
The agreement, which automatically renews for three-year periods, aims to ensure the continuity of cooperation with the association, recognizing the value of the social activity it develops.
