The Regional Government Council approved three programme-contracts to support social inclusion, housing, and temporary support projects, representing a total investment of 287,880 euros.
The Regional Government Council of Madeira approved, at its meeting on July 15, the granting of financial support to three private social solidarity institutions (IPSS) through the signing of programme-contracts. The support is intended to co-finance specific projects or the general operation of the associations during the year 2026.
The resolutions, published in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, authorise the Regional Directorate for Citizenship and Social Affairs to sign the agreements and proceed with the payment of the contributions, which will be made in a single instalment by December 31, 2026.
The support was awarded under the Regulation for the Allocation of Financial Support to Social Economy Entities and the Region's Budget for 2026. The beneficiary entities and their respective amounts are as follows:
The total investment in these four measures amounts to 287,880 euros, strengthening the partnership between the Regional Government and social economy institutions in pursuing public interest objectives in the areas of social inclusion, family support, and poverty reduction.
The Madeira Social Security Institute is authorized to assume costs up to 226,661.40 euros with the Community Center of the Luís de Camões Center Association, under an addendum to an existing agreement.
The first amendment to the program contract with IHM, EPERAM was authorized, reprogramming 3.2 million euros for the Degraded Property Recovery Program until 2027.
The Regional Government has approved the regulations for PROAGES II, a program providing supplementary income support to households in an intermediate socioeconomic situation, with a total allocation of 2,016,000 euros.
