Regional Government authorizes 1.5 million euros for National Vaccination Plan vaccines in 2027
Ordinance No. 401/2026 authorizes the distribution of 1,554,300.09 euros, plus 6% VAT, for the centralized procurement of National Vaccination Plan vaccines for the next year.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved, through Ordinance No. 401/2026, the distribution of budgetary charges for the procurement of vaccines under the National Vaccination Plan (PNV) for the year 2027. The funds, allocated to the Madeira Autonomous Region Health Service, EPERAM, ensure the supply of immunizers for the region's population.
The total authorized amount is 1,554,300.09 euros (one million, five hundred and fifty-four thousand, three hundred euros and nine cents), to which the Value Added Tax (VAT) at the rate of 6% is added.
According to the decree, published in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, the entire amount will be executed in the 2027 Fiscal Year. For the year 2026, no charges are foreseen (€0.00). The ordinance also establishes that the amount set for 2027 may be increased with the balance determined in the previous year.
The expenditure will be included in the budget proposal of the Madeira Autonomous Region Health Service, EPERAM, for 2027, under economic classification D.02.01.09 and funding source 319.
The ordinance was signed by the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Micaela Cristina Fonseca de Freitas, and the Regional Secretary for Finance, Elsa Maria dos Santos Fernandes, and entered into force on the day following its publication, on August 19, 2026.
