The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection reallocates budgetary charges under the Recovery and Resilience Plan for mental health units, with a net increase of 120,900 euros.
The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection has authorized a redistribution and change in budgetary charges for the investment in Integrated Continued Mental Health Care, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
Ordinance No. 422/2026 allows adjustments in the financial execution of the project, which aims to build, expand, or renovate infrastructure to create new residential units, namely Maximum Support Residences, Autonomous Residences, and Autonomy Training Residences.
The total authorized amount is now €5,076,500.00, representing a net increase of 120,900 euros compared to the previous amount of 4,955,600 euros. This change results from a reduction of 359,100 euros in one of the contracted projects and an increase of 480,000 euros in another project covered by the same investment.
Most of the funds (€4,569,727.50) are scheduled for execution in the 2026 fiscal year.
The capacity of the elderly support establishment was formally increased after modernization works financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The Regional Health Secretariat authorized an increase of nearly 93,000 euros in the budget for the requalification of integrated long-term care units, raising the total amount to over 4.4 million euros.
The Council of the Government approved the 2026 action plan for the Integrated Continuing Care Network (REDE), establishing coverage targets and the renewal and creation of 526 new inpatient and home support places.
