Three ordinances approved by the Regional Government of Madeira update the amounts of program-contracts with long-term and maintenance institutions, totalling over 8.3 million euros.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved the update of the financial amounts for three program-contracts within the Integrated Continuing Care Network (REDE). The changes, published in an Ordinance, result from the revision of the daily rate per user, decreed by Ordinance No. 865/2025, of December 30, which took effect retroactively from August 1, 2025.
This regulatory update required the adjustment of the contractual values to ensure the economic-financial balance of the agreements and adequate budgetary coverage. The new global amounts, exempt from VAT, were distributed across the economic years from 2024 to 2027, according to the execution of each contract.

The ordinances come into force the day after their publication, but their financial effects are reported from August 1, 2025. The expenses for 2026 are covered in the budgets of the Institute of Health Administration, IP-RAM, and the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth.
Medical prescriptions issued from July 1, exclusively for flu vaccines, are valid until December 31, 2026.
