A new member has been appointed to the Advisory Council of the Mission Structure for the Central and University Hospital of Madeira, replacing a previous member.
Joint Order No. 63/2026 from the Regional Secretariats of Health and Civil Protection and Finance has made a change to the composition of the Advisory Council of the Mission Structure for the Central and University Hospital of Madeira (EMHCUM).
The order amends paragraph b) of Joint Order No. 17/2026, which defined the initial composition of the council. The new appointment is as follows:
The Advisory Council of the EMHCUM is composed of seven members from SESARAM, EPERAM, with recognized merit in the health field at regional, national, and international levels. Its function is to advise the Mission Structure responsible for the project of the new Central and University Hospital of Madeira.
Ordinance No. 431/2026 defines the powers and functioning of the Monitoring and Assessment Commission for Combating Iodine Deficiency, created to implement public health measures in Madeira.
The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection reallocates budgetary charges under the Recovery and Resilience Plan for mental health units, with a net increase of 120,900 euros.
The Regional Health Secretariat authorized an increase of nearly 93,000 euros in the budget for the requalification of integrated long-term care units, raising the total amount to over 4.4 million euros.
