The Madeira Social Security Institute has signed an agreement with the Funchal Community Development Association to fund day and night centers.
Through Resolution No. 596/2026, the Regional Government authorized the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Funchal Community Development Association to fund new social services for the elderly.
The agreement, with retroactive effect from June 1, 2026, aims to support the operation of a Night Center and a Specialized Day Center, under the following conditions:
The total investment for the year 2026 amounts to 416,267.60 €, with multi-year financial support planned until 2031.
The Madeira Health Service has reallocated its budget for the hospital waste treatment contract and for the acquisition of six vehicles for Home Hospitalization.
A subsidiary and exceptional funding mechanism, up to 2 million euros, has been approved to support intermediate care places for people discharged from hospital for social reasons.
A correction statement has been published to fix a value in the price table for healthcare services in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation co-funded by the Regional Health Service.
