The Regional Government of Madeira has published Ordinance no. 272/2026, which revokes the procedure regarding the third phase of the construction of the Madeira Central and University Hospital.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through the Regional Secretariat for Finance and the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure, has proceeded with the revocation of Ordinance no. 418/2025, of August 13.
This decision, formalized by Ordinance no. 272/2026, published on June 24, 2026, puts an end to the administrative procedure previously established for the execution of the 3rd Phase - General Infrastructure, Finishes and Technical Installations of the Madeira Central and University Hospital.
The measure, signed by regional secretaries Duarte Nuno Nunes de Freitas and Pedro Alexandre Fagundes de Freitas Rodrigues, enters into force on the business day following its official publication.
The Regional Government amended the statutes of IASAÚDE, IP-RAM, creating a new directorate specialized in auditing and inspecting public health resources.
The Madeira Institute of Social Security will update the values of financial contributions for various typical-funded social responses, representing a total investment of approximately 631 thousand euros for 2026.
The Regional Government approved the decree defining the structure and mission of the Regional Health and Civil Protection Secretariat, creating the Regional Directorate of Health and Longevity and the Regional Health Activities Inspectorate.
