Regional Government approves three ordinances for infrastructure project funding
The Regional Finance Secretariat and the Regional Equipment and Infrastructure Secretariat have published three ordinances authorizing the distribution of funds for rehabilitation and development projects.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved, through three ordinances published in the Official Journal, the distribution of budgetary charges for the financial participation in three distinct infrastructure investment projects. The decisions involve a total amount exceeding 3.3 million euros.
The projects range from an integrated rehabilitation program to specific interventions in Porto Santo and Ribeira da Boaventura. The funds are staggered between the 2024 and 2027 fiscal years.
Funded Projects
- PRID Program (PIDDAR 51386) via Ordinance No. 406/2026: Redistribution of budgetary charges up to a maximum total amount of 3,200,000.00 €. The phasing is as follows: €0.00 for 2024; €830,509.56 for 2025; €1,400,000.00 for 2026; and €969,490.44 for 2027.
- Rehabilitation of the Porto Santo Cultural and Congress Center (PIDDAR 53316) via Ordinance No. 407/2026: Authorization of charges for a Program-Contract with the Porto Santo Development Society, S.A., up to a maximum total amount of 450,000.00 €. The phasing is: €200,000.00 for 2026 and €250,000.00 for 2027.
- Rehabilitation of the Ribeira da Boaventura Development (PIDDAR 52761) via Ordinance No. 408/2026: Authorization of charges for a Program-Contract with SMD - Metropolitan Development Society, S. A., up to a maximum total amount of 190,000.00 €. The phasing is: €150,000.00 for 2026 and €40,000.00 for 2027.
The ordinances establish that the amounts set for each year may be increased by the balance ascertained in the previous year. All mentioned funds do not include VAT. Ordinances No. 407/2026 and 408/2026 entered into force on the day of their publication, while Ordinance No. 406/2026 entered into force on the following day.
