The Madeira Government has authorized an amendment to the concession contract with CAM, S.A., providing for a total investment of over 60 million euros to adjust the transport network.
The Regional Government Council approved, through Resolution no. 259/2026, the amendment to the Network and Offer Plan of the public road passenger transport concession contract, signed with the company Companhia de Autocarros da Madeira (CAM), S.A. in 2022.
This decision follows the need to adapt the service to new mobility requirements and the relocation of the Terminal 2000 to the Penteada area, in Funchal, as requested by the municipality. The main points of the measure include:
