The Regional Government of Madeira has introduced an extraordinary monthly support of 5 euros for beneficiaries of the Gas Solidarity Program to mitigate the impact of energy price volatility.
The Regional Government of Madeira, through Ordinance no. 175/2026, has implemented the first amendment to the GÁS-SOLIDÁRIO.RAM program regulations. Given the current international situation and the worsening tensions in the Middle East, which have caused volatility in gas prices, the Madeiran executive has decided to adopt exceptional and transitory measures.
The total financial support planned for 2026 is €973,676.72, managed by the Regional Directorate of Energy. The measure aims to support needy families residing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the purchase of bottled or piped liquefied petroleum gases (LPG).
