The Regional Directorate of School Administration has signed permanent employment contracts with 15 new operational assistants, distributed across various schools in the Region.
The Regional Secretariat for Education, Science and Technology, through the Regional Directorate of School Administration, has formalised the hiring of 15 new workers for the Operational Assistant career in educational establishments in Madeira. The contracts, for an indefinite period, began on 15 September 2026 and result from the approval of the Consolidated Recruitment Map for 2026, within the scope of common competitive procedures.
The new professionals were placed in the 1st remuneratory position and remuneratory level 5 of the general Operational Assistant career, under the terms of Law No. 35/2014, of 20 June.
The hirings were divided into two official notices and cover the following schools and workers:

These hirings aim to reinforce non-teaching staff in schools, ensuring the normal functioning of services and support for the educational community.
Teacher Paulino da Costa Abreu has been appointed to preside over the Educational Community Council of the Dr. Francisco Fernandes Professional School for a three-year term.
The Madeira School of Hospitality and Tourism has signed permanent employment contracts with two new Operational Assistants.
