Ponta do Oeste, SDNM, and Porto Santo Development Company will receive a total of over two million euros in supplementary payments to cover salary costs.
The Council of the Government approved three resolutions authorizing supplementary monetary payments to three regional development companies, for a total amount of 2,036,680 euros. The measures aim to ensure that these reclassified public companies can meet their payment obligations, particularly regarding employee remuneration for the year 2026.
The supplementary payments were approved in the general assembly of each company on March 27, 2026. The authorized amounts are as follows:
These companies have the mission of designing, promoting, constructing, and managing projects, actions, and ventures that contribute to the integrated development of their respective areas of intervention: the municipalities of Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, and Calheta (Ponta do Oeste); the municipalities of Porto Moniz, São Vicente, and Santana (SDNM); and the Island of Porto Santo.
The Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation (ARDITI) will receive 525,129 euros for equipment acquisition under the Ocean Technologies project.
