São João Baptista do Pico Fortress receives €103,780 investment
The Regional Government has authorised the distribution, from 2026 to 2029, of costs for the restoration project at São João Baptista do Pico Fortress in São Pedro. The investment amounts to €103,780, plus VAT.
The Regional Government of Madeira has amended the allocation of budget costs for the restoration project at São João Baptista do Pico Fortress in São Pedro. Ordinance No. 571/2026 sets the total amount at €103,780, plus VAT at the applicable legal rate.
The investment will be spread over four financial years:
- 2026: €31,134;
- 2027: €57,079;
- 2028: €5,189;
- 2029: €10,378.
The ordinance amends Ordinance No. 248/2026 of 16 June. The 2026 expenditure is covered by the Budget of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, while costs for subsequent years will be included in the respective budget proposals. The amount allocated for each year may be increased by any balance carried over from the previous year.
Ordinance No. 571/2026 was signed on 28 September and enters into force on the day after its publication.
