The Government Council authorized the signing of program-contracts with three Madeira Houses, allocating a total of 24,500 euros to support their operating expenses in 2026.
The Regional Government Council approved, at its meeting on September 16, the allocation of financial contributions to three Madeira Houses located outside the Region. The support, approved through separate resolutions, aims to assist the management and operating expenses of these institutions in 2026.
Madeira Houses are associations that promote Madeiran culture and serve as welcoming and socializing points for Madeirans residing in other regions. The program-contracts now authorized are valid until December 31, 2026.

The total amount of support approved for the three institutions amounts to 24,500 euros. The Regional Director for Communities and External Cooperation, José Sancho Gonçalves Gomes, was mandated to sign the contracts on behalf of the Regional Government.
Three Madeiran associations will receive financial contributions for projects in agroforestry culture, artistic residencies, and international sports tourism events.
The Regional Culture Directorate will move to a ground-floor space on Rua das Pretas in Funchal to solve overcrowding issues.
The Regional Government has authorized funding for the conservation and restoration of tile heritage in six religious monuments in Funchal and Machico.
