Government allocates three million euros to Madeira Classical Orchestra
The Notas e Sinfonias Atlânticas Association (ANSA) will receive 3.3 million euros in financial support for music practice and training until 2028.
The Regional Government approved a program contract with the Notas e Sinfonias Atlânticas Association (ANSA), manager of the Madeira Classical Orchestra, which provides for a financial contribution of up to three million three hundred thousand euros. The decision was formalized by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 792/2026.
The support, which will not exceed 3,300,000.00 euros, will be processed over the years 2026, 2027 and 2028. The program contract aims to define the process of financial cooperation between the Autonomous Region of Madeira and ANSA for the execution of activities related to music practice and training.
ANSA, a private non-profit institution of Public Utility, has the mission of managing and promoting the Madeira Classical Orchestra, promoting music and training young musicians. The regional support allows maintaining a benchmark artistic offer in the region, complementing the training of students at the Conservatory - Professional School of Arts of Madeira, Eng.º Luiz Peter Clode, and providing internship opportunities for young musicians.
The contract will take effect after the decision is approved by the Court of Auditors and will be in force until December 31, 2028.
