Regulation of the Madeira Children's Song Festival Amended

The President of the Conservatório - Escola das Artes da Madeira has approved the first amendment to the Regulation of the Madeira Children's Song Festival (FCIM). The amendment was formalized through Dispatch No. 332/2026.

The modifications aim to adapt the regulation to the festival's organization and operational needs. The main changes introduced are:

• Article 2: Reinforces the role of the Responsible Committee as the promoter and editorial manager, granting it "any and all final decisions, whether artistic, logistical, technical, or of any other nature".
• Article 3: Specifies that the audio of candidate songs must be recorded in "acoustic format", with the preferred configuration being "voice accompanied by a harmonic instrument, in .mp3 format". It also establishes that "all soloists must participate in mentoring sessions with experts indicated by the organization".
• Article 4: Alters the composition of the festival jury, allowing that, in addition to experts in music and the Portuguese language, it may also include "others who are a reference or partner of the FCIM or whose relevance is validated by the organization". It defines that the evaluation percentages will be determined annually by the Responsible Committee.
• Article 8: Stipulates that the Responsible Committee may propose amendments to the regulation at any time, "with prior information to the competent body for its approval".

The dispatch also repeals paragraph 6 of Article 2 of the previous regulation and republishes the complete regulation in its new wording in an annex.
