The Regional Government has appointed two technicians from the Regional Directorate for Environment and Sea to represent Madeira in the work to create the national programme for mapping and monitoring marine ecosystems.
Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 800/2026, the Autonomous Region of Madeira has appointed its representatives to join the work to create the national programme for mapping and monitoring marine ecosystems, an initiative determined by Order No. 7083/2026 of the Government of the Republic.

This appointment aims to ensure the active participation of Madeira in a strategic initiative under Regulation (EU) 2024/1991, which establishes binding targets for the recovery of degraded marine ecosystems.
The budget for the +ENERGY renewable energy production incentive system has been increased by 2 million euros, totalling 7.5 million, to support pending applications.
Ordinance No. 354/2026 authorizes the distribution of 5.5 million euros for the +ENERGIA incentive system, aimed at renewable energy production and storage in the Region.
The distribution of budgetary charges totaling 2.68 million euros for the provision of ship and port facility waste management services for APRAM has been authorized.
