The Regional Government has authorized a financial contribution of 60,000 euros to support forest and silvo-pastoral management in the Poiso Mountains.
The Regional Government Council approved, through Resolution no. 180/2026, the signing of a program contract between the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, IP-RAM and the Poiso Mountains Livestock Breeders Association.
This financial support, which amounts to a maximum of €60,000.00, aims to strengthen forest protection, conservation, and management actions, as well as the maintenance of silvo-pastoral resources in the Poiso Mountains Forest Perimeter area. The measure recognizes the fundamental role of herds in reducing forest fuel, preventive fire surveillance, and ecosystem enhancement, contributing to the maintenance of leisure areas and public use.
